Terms of Service
Last updated: July 2026 · Applies to the Tula beta
These Terms govern your use of Tula, operated by Tula Technologies Ltd (“Tula”, “we”). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Tula.
1. Eligibility & accounts
You must be at least 13 years old to use Tula, and 18 or the age of majority in your country to use Tula Pay. You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for activity that occurs under it. Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
2. Acceptable use
Use Tula lawfully and respectfully. Do not misuse the service, interfere with its operation, attempt to access it in unauthorised ways, or use it to harm, harass, defraud or deceive others.
3. Prohibited content
You may not create, upload, share or distribute illegal content. This includes, without limitation and with absolute prohibition, child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any content that sexualises or endangers minors.
Also prohibited: content that is violent or incites violence, promotes terrorism, facilitates trafficking or exploitation, infringes others' rights, or is otherwise unlawful. We use automated and human review, including image-hash matching, to detect such content, and we report CSAM to the relevant authorities.
4. Enforcement & termination
We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or the law, with or without notice where necessary to protect users or comply with legal obligations. Serious violations, especially those involving child safety or illegal content, result in immediate termination and reporting to authorities.
5. Tula Pay
Payments made through Tula Pay are processed by licensed payment partners and are subject to their terms as well as ours. You agree to provide accurate payment information, to use Tula Pay only for lawful transactions, and to comply with applicable financial, KYC and anti-money-laundering requirements. Fees, limits and refund handling will be disclosed in-app.
6. Disclaimers & limitation of liability
Tula is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, particularly during beta. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
7. Dispute resolution & governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kenya. Disputes will first be addressed in good faith between the parties; where they cannot be resolved informally, they will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Kenya.
8. Changes & contact
We may update these Terms as Tula develops and will notify users of material changes. Questions can be sent to [email protected] or Tula Technologies Ltd, Standard Street, Nairobi CBD, Kenya.
